Following the election of Liberal Democrat Group Leader, Cllr Mark Hunter, as Leader of the Council, Stockport Council’s new Cabinet has now been appointed.
Cllr Hunter announced his new Cabinet yesterday, 25th May, following his election as Leader of the Council on the 19th May.
Each Cabinet member holds a portfolio of areas across the council that they are responsible for. The Stockport Council Cabinet is as follows:
- Cllr Wendy Meikle – Deputy Cabinet Leader; Deputy Leader of the Council; Education, Children and Families.
- Cllr Malcolm Allan – Finance and Resources
- Cllr Mark Roberts – Climate Change and Environment
- Cllr Grace Baynham – Highways, Parks and Leisure Services
- Cllr Colin MacAllister – Economy & Regeneration
- Cllr Helen Foster-Grim – Communities and Housing
- Cllr Keith Holloway – Health and Adult Social Care
Names of chairs and vice of the various committees chairs will also be announced in due course.
