Stockport based company Fairhurst Estates Limited focus on working with locally based companies is paying off having completed deals for locally based clients that means they are committed to keep their businesses in Stockport.
Handelsbanken’s Stockport office is based at Acorn Business Park neighbouring Fairhurst Estate’s own offices. FEL have recently completed a deal with them that negotiated a tenants break clause out of their lease in 2013. This means that they are now committed to remain in Stockport until at least 2018.
In addition, Fairhurst Estates had sublet space to Danish Engineering Company DEIF within their own premises when they first came to Stockport. FEL has since relocated them next door as they needed the space for their own expansion. Theyhave now completed a similar deal with them to remove the break clause they had in 2014 that means they are now committed to Stockport until 2020.
In May 2012 FEL let 8022 sq ft of warehouse and offices at Brent Road in the Green Lane Trading Estate in Stockport to Lincoln Jordan Interiors Limited – manufacturers of bespoke handmade kitchens.
As well as their new head office on Brent Road which is also home to a showroom and manufacturing base, they have an additional retail shop in Marple and signed up for a 10 year lease.
And of course, these deals are in line with Marketing Stockport’s aim to connect, grow and retain business in Stockport. It is good to see a bit of manufacturing return to Stockport!!
