Stockport Council and Post 16 Further Education providers in the borough have shown their commitment to provide young people with the highest quality education and training.
The Council and education providers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to confirm their commitment to work together to ensure education and training which is high quality, inclusive and meets learners’ and employers’ needs.
The MoU was signed at Stockport Town Hall by the following people:
Principal of Aquinas College, Danny Pearson
Principal of Cheadle College & Marple Sixth Form College, Jenny Singleton
Acting Principal of Stockport College, Ian Clinton
Principal of Stockport Academy, Frank McCarron
Head of Cheadle Hulme High School, Linda Magrath
Head of Hazel Grove High School, Mark Sibson

The MoU was also signed on behalf of the Council, and Stockport’s 14-19 Partnership, by its Chairperson Alison Cresswell, Stockport Council’s Head of Participation and Education Services.
Alison Cresswell, said:
“The MoU states that all parties will put learners at the heart of all that they do, and will work collaboratively to their benefit, sharing knowledge and initiating joint projects wherever possible.
“The MoU focuses on establishing a thriving Stockport through education and training that is high quality, inclusive and responsive to learner and employer needs.”
