Brian Bradley, Stockport Chamber President and Partner at Clarke Nicklin, is optimistic for Stockport in 2017 as he celebrates his own BIG milestone!
Brian Bradley:
“I think we can all agree that although there were fantastic things going on locally, 2016 was a year of ‘doom and gloom’ on a global scale.
“As the saying goes, there’s a reason why the windshield is bigger than the rear-view mirror; where we are heading is much more important than what’s behind.
“So, let’s start 2017 on a positive note with an overview of just some of the things we’ve got to look forward to this coming year.
“I’m particularly excited for the new Redrock complex to open towards the end of the year as it’ll boost visitors to the area and provide residents like myself a much-needed quality leisure offering which we’ve been massively missing.
“As the Stockport BID becomes operational, and we continue apace with all the other local developments such as Stockport Exchange, Aurora Industrial Park, the Transport Interchange and transport works generally, I think we can expect to really start to see the town centre blossom.
“I always look forward to what is arguably the biggest night in Stockport’s business calendar; the Stockport Business Awards. This year they will be held on Thursday 12th October and it’ll be even better as we are lucky to have two new hotels within staggering distance – I expect business will be booming for both that night!
“And if that’s not enough there is one other major event this year – I turn 50 – see you in Vegas!”
Thanks to Brian Bradley, Stockport Chamber President – and have fun in Vegas!
