Recently elected Stockport Chamber president Sue Souter, managing Director of Souter PR, is urging buinesses to attend two outstanding events coming up in 2014.
The first is the Great Manchester Business Conference, which is being organised by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and pro.manchester.
Sue said:
“The conference will feature an impressive list of speakers including Siemen’s Managing Director Juergen Maier, Kellogg’s boss Jonathan Myers and Chamber Chief Executive Clive Memmott.
“As well as hearing from these leading business people, attendees will also be able to join the debate on High Speed rail with High Speed Two Chief Executive, Alison Munro, and get advice from a panel of experts on how your business can access the funds it needs to develop and grow”.
Steph McGovern, the award-winning business presenter on BBC Breakfast, will host the conference with John Ashcroft, Chief Executive of pro.manchester and Chief Economist at the Chamber.
The conference takes place on 21st March at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Ground, Old Trafford. For more information on the conference go to www.greatmanchesterbusinessconference.co.uk
The second event is the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on 15th May, hosted by Rory Bremner and the political guest speaker will be none other than the Shadow Chancellor, Ed Balls MP. The full line-up of speakers for the evening will be released shortly.
Rory Bremner is Britain’s best-loved impressionist. With a repertoire of over one hundred characters, he impersonates everyone from film stars to chatshow hosts. He has twice won the British Comedy Award for Top Male Performer as well as BAFTA’s Best Light Entertainment Award.
Ed Balls is a leading figure in the Labour Party. In opposition and then as chief economic adviser to the Treasury, he worked on key policies including independence of the Bank of England, the windfall tax and New Deal jobs programme, Sure Start, tax credits and the national minimum wage.
“We look forward to a great evening with Rory leading the proceedings – so make sure you don’t miss out on this exciting event” urged Sue.
