
Stockport is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week which takes place this week from March 6th to 10th by hosting a series of events for young people of the borough.
The Apprenticeship Store based in the town centre helps young people in a wide variety of industry sectors.
During National Apprenticeship Week the Apprenticeships Store are hosting a series of sector based events.
Training providers will be attending to answer any sector specific questions individuals may have and individuals will be able to apply directly for the vacancies on offer.
On Monday advisors were on hand to discuss opportunities in Business Administration, Law and Finance.
The following sectors will be covered throughout Wednesday to Friday this week aimed at helping young people choose a carer path:
• Wednesday – Childcare and Health & Social Care
• Thursday – IT and Creative & Digital Media
• Friday – Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Barbering
The events are being held at the Apprenticeships Store, Stockport Exchange, Wellington Road South, Stockport, SK1 3TA.
No appointments are needed for these events.
Should you be interested in any sector other than those listed you can attend at any time during the stores opening hours as staff are on hand to help with all enquiries. The store is open from Monday to Friday from 10am – 4:30pm with late opening till 6pm on the 7th, 8th and 9th March.

“During National Apprenticeship week, there are a number of events happening, and this is just one of them. All events are there to help educate and inform people on what Apprenticeships have to offer.”
