Local businesses are supporting the 96 mile run in memory of the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
Starting out on Thursday 4th April 2013 at Hillsborough 7 runners will take 3 days to cover a 96 mile route ending on Saturday 6th April at Anfield.
This year the event is being held to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool and The Children’s Hospital, Sheffield in memory of the 96 Liverpool fans who tragically lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster. Last year the runners raised over £15,000 for charity.
Bredbury Hall Hotel, Stockport is delighted to support the Hillsborough to Anfield Run 2013 providing a well-earned overnight resting place on the 4th April, for the runners and team who will have crossed the Pennines by the end of the first day! Bredbury Hall Hotel’s Head Chef Bob Edwards will be making sure the team are provided with a specially tailored meal in preparation for the gruelling final two days of the run, whilst the rest of the team at Bredbury Hall make all of the preparations for a restful and recuperating overnight stay. Their estimated time of arrival will be announced nearer the time due to the current route conditions following the recent weather.
Run organisers are welcoming help, sponsorship and financial support from local businesses and would obviously be very grateful to any and all who can come out and cheer the runners along the way.
