Stockport County kicked off the new football season with a win at home against Bolton, and a host of local businesses that are backing the club could be seen on Edgeley Park’s pitchside LED displays.
The Hatters’ launched their League One campaign in front a five-figure crowd a Edgeley Park and triumphed with an opening day 2-0 victory against Greater Manchester neighbours, Bolton Wanderers.
Local businesses around the ground showing support in the ground and on the LED boards included Marketing Stockport and member businesses, including SAS Daniels, C&C Insurance Brokers, IN Accountancy and Gorvins Solicitors, who have also sponsored the premium lounge at Edgeley Park.
With the first game of the season also being broadcast live on Sky Sports, local businesses were also able to reach a national audience, as well as those hoping to avoid the wet weather!
Commenting on her business being noticed from the stands, IN Accountancy’s Sarah Harkness wrote on LinkedIn:
“Love it when the inbox on a Monday morning includes email from a client sending pictures of our LED advertising at Stockport County yesterday. We didn’t get to the game, but it was fab being able to watch on live TV; what a win, and super performance from some of our newest stars… Can’t wait for the rest of the season.”
