As part of the development of the new Stockport Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy, Stockport Council’s Public Health Team are hosting a Workplace Wellbeing Workshop for businesses in the borough.
Employees who are happy in their work and feel part of the team are likely to be more productive, and to stick with their employers in good times and not so good times. But a lot of people are feeling stressed these days, whether it’s the cost of living, workloads, worries about the future, or family problems unconnected with work. How can local businesses in Stockport respond to this, and help their workers to fulfil their potential?
The breakfast event will provide an opportunity for local businesses to discuss the challenges they are facing in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of their staff, and feed back to council teams on what further support may be needed.
There will also be opportunities to meet with and learn from other local businesses and experts on how to boost the motivation and resilience of colleagues, so that they thrive at work.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday 17th May at Stockport Guildhall, 169-171 Wellington Road South, Stockport, SK1 3UA. The event opens for refreshments from 8am, with the workshop running from 8.30am to 10am, with networking opportunities after the event.
