Stockport businesses are invited to attend the borough’s first Proper Good Business Conference and learn about the benefits of working with the borough’s third sector organisations.
Taking place at Stockport’s Guildhall on Thursday 16th November from 9.30am to 4.30pm, the Proper Good Business Conference will introduce local businesses to services that can bring added value to their supply chain management, increase employee retention and more, with many contracts now requiring businesses to invest or demonstrate their Social Value.
This event has been specifically created with businesses in mind to offer solutions to the challenges faced by businesses today. It is a unique opportunity to meet directly with local Social Enterprises whose innovative services can help you increase employee retention, diversify your supply chain and more. All while enabling your business to invest back into the local community.
The Proper Good Business Conference comes as shortly after Stockport was named a Social Enterprise Place in October 2023 and will coincide with National Social Enterprise day, also taking place on the 16th November.
The day’s programme will include a selection of workshops, networking and a lunchtime ‘community soup’ crowdfunding event for social enterprise. The money raised through this event will be reinvested into the Proper Good programme in Stockport.
Stockport businesses can book their places to attend the Proper Good Business Conference, which has been sponsored by CDL, via Eventbrite.
