Stockport who are interested in reducing their environmental impact are invited to join Stockport Council’s Climate Action Business Forum.
Taking place at Where The Light Gets In in Stockport town centre from 8:30 – 10:30am on Monday, November 18th, the session will focus on building and monitoring a sustainable supply chain.
As well as hosting the event, the Michelin green-starred restaurant will also share their insights into supply chain management practices during the morning.
Additionally, guest speakers from Parently Group will discuss their innovative approach to circularity, highlighting strategies to minimise waste and create more sustainable products. Green Economy will give insight into how to approach and tackle Scope 3 emissions and Transport for Greater Manchester will share actions and insight that will affect businesses. Presentations will also be livestreamed via Microsoft Teams for those wishing to join remotely.
This event is open to all businesses in Stockport who are interested in reducing their environmental impact and networking with peers. Attendance is free, but places are limited so tickets should be booked via Eventbrite.
Following the event on the 22nd November, from 10am to 3pm, Stockport will also be hosting its fourth Climate Action Now summit to celebrate, connect, and inspire climate action across the borough. As well as updating on the council’s actions, this year’s event will include talks, discussions and workshops that will get us all thinking about how we can help create a climate-friendly Stockport.
Businesses interested in development and construction, low carbon technologies and skills and education may be particularly interested in the afternoon’s main session which will explore how Stockport can grow green skills and opportunities. Tickets are available via this link.
