Stockport Business Summit open for business

The Stockport Business Summit – “Your Stockport, Your Business, Your Future”, – hosted by Stockport Council in partnership with Stockport Economic Alliance, is open to Stockport’s business community. 

Stockport is one of the North West’s leading and most successful business locations. Offering an exceptional workforce, first class connectivity and excellent education, the opportunities on offer for companies and residents in Stockport are undisputed. Whilst Stockport is already a great place to live, work and visit, the Council and its partners are keen to build on this to create more jobs and opportunities for all.

The last 12 months have seen significant progress in delivering Stockport Council’s ambitious plans for the borough. The second phase of development at Stockport Exchange has been completed and is now fully let; Redrock Stockport, a major new leisure development, is progressing well and the new modern industrial units at Aurora Stockport are due to be completed next month.

“Your Stockport, Your Business, Your Future” Business Summit offers local businesses an opportunity to hear first-hand about all the significant developments transforming Stockport and the Council’s continued ambitious plans for the future. As well as having the right physical environment to enable economic growth, it is also vital businesses have easy access to business support and advice when it is needed most. The summit will update businesses on the current range of support available to help them grow and adapt to the changing economic environment.

Stockport Council are keen to receive feedback and there will be an opportunity during the event for businesses to have their say on what’s important to them in helping to grow their business.

Chaired by Cllr Alex Ganotis, Leader of Stockport Council, the event will feature presentations on:

• Recent achievements and future priorities for the development of Stockport
• Support available to help businesses grow and reach their true potential
• New initiative which will help communicate the transformation taking place in Stockport
• How a local business has benefited from the wide variety of support available to them

There will also be ample opportunity to meet and network with fellow Stockport based businesses.
