Stockport business software and IT infrastructure provider, Innov8, has acquired Barnsley-based IT support firm, Wharncliffe Business Systems.
The acquisition enables Innov8, which has offices in York and Bromsgrove as well as Stockport, to further expand its market share in the North of England. Wharncliffe Business Systems offers the sector-specific Realitex warehousing software for the textiles and flooring industry, and is a Sage business partner to complement Innov8’s existing Sage offering.
The business was supported in the acquisition by Manchester-based DTE Corporate Finance.
Carl Maher, Managing Director of Innov8 commented,
“This is the latest fantastic addition to the Innov8 Group that not only increases our presence in the Sage and Cloud spaces, but adds another important vertical solution to our already exciting InnRange portfolio. I couldn’t expand the Group at the same pace without being in the safe hands of the DTE Corporate Finance Team. They leave me to focus on what we are good at, whilst they handle the rest.”
Lewis Pearson, Corporate Finance Manager at DTE who advised on the acquisition said,
“We have advised Carl for a number of years over different transactions. We are delighted to have again secured a real strategic bolt on business that will help Innov8 develop into one of the UK’s leading Sage and associated technology providers. With more targets in the pipeline, we remain excited for the future prosperity on Innov8.”
Matt Beckley, Partner and Head of DTE Corporate Finance added,
“This transaction highlights great work from our Technology team assisting Carl in his growth plan.”
