Three Stockport business leaders have been honoured as the North West’s business community came together at The Midland Hotel in Manchester city centre to celebrate excellence in business leadership.
Established by TheBusinessDesk.com, the North West Leadership Awards honour individuals who serve as role models within their organisations and set high standards for their peers and competitors. The winners exemplify extraordinary leadership, showcasing the positive impact they have made.
The 2025 North West Leadership Awards provided a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the region’s most inspiring leaders. And this year Stockport was delighted to congratulate three local winners who drive change, inspire others, and are helping to shape the future of business in the North West.
The founder of local social enterprise Saz Media, Sara Auty, won Young Leader of the Year. Saz Media is a not for profit media company helping hundreds of young disadvantaged people to learn media skills and gain much needed confidence.
Claire Ebrey, from the Heatons, runs On The Level a consultancy focusing on equity and inclusion. She is also the co founder of Pride In Leadership, a national organisation elevating purposeful leaders. Claire was the winner of the Diversity and Inclusivity award.
Nicola Ryan, Director of People Support at Stockport-based B Corp schoolwear manufacturer, One+All, won HR leader of the year, and was also overall winner of the coveted North West Leader of the Year. Asked what her secret is to build what the judges identified as “an amazing team with a great culture,” she said:
“I think it’s really simple. And for us, it’s just been about showing true, genuine care for our colleagues and respect, and in return for that, they’ve absolutely flourished and thrived, and so has our business.”
