Organisers and founders, Clarke Nicklin, are calling on Stockport businesses to donate a prize for the charity raffle to raise funds on the evening of the Stockport Business Awards.
The charity raffle at this year’s event, the tenth anniversary of the Stockport Business Awards, will support two charities: Smart Works and the Stockport NHS Charity.
Smart Works are a charity that provide high quality interview clothes and training to unemployed women in need, who have often been referred from organisations such as job centres, care homes, homeless shelters, and mental health charities. In addition to invaluable training and styling advice, Smart Works also give women the confidence and self-belief to succeed at their interview and, ultimately, transform their lives.
Stockport NHS Charity exists to improve the health and wellbeing of patients by delivering services above and beyond ordinary standards. Their aim is to help patients get better quicker and stay well for longer. Fundraising helps them to achieve this through enhanced medical equipment, improved staff performance, development and wellbeing and advanced research programmes.
Managing Partner of Clarke Nicklin, Andrew Baggott, said:
We have managed to raise thousands of pounds each awards night for our chosen charities over the last 10 years and we owe that to so many amazing Stockport businesses who have shown great generosity in their prize donations, and of course, to the people who donate on the night. We hope this year will be no different and we can call upon the generosity of the Stockport business community once again to support two worthy causes.”
