The organisers of the Stockport Business Awards, Clarke Nicklin Group, are appealing to the generosity of businesses to donate raffle prizes in aid of the event’s chosen charity.
This year the awards will be supporting ‘Signpost’ Stockport for Carers.
Julie Tunstall from Clarke Nicklin said:
“Thank you so much to all who have donated amazing prizes so far. We are blown away each year by the generosity of the Stockport Business community. If anyone else would like to donate then please get in touch!
“This year our chosen charity is ‘Signpost’ Stockport for Carers, a wonderful local charity purely supporting the borough of Stockport. To try to raise as much as possible we need help in the form of prizes.
“It can be anything….Gift vouchers, iPads, hampers, champagne, experiences, meal vouchers, electrical items, memorabilia etc, would all be gratefully accepted.”
Signpost supports anyone over the age of 6 years old, who is providing unpaid care for a relative, partner or neighbour. This may be a parent with dementia, an adult child with Down’s syndrome, a partner with motor neurone disease or a sibling with autism. Based in Heaton Moor they cover the whole of the borough of Stockport.
The money raised on the night will be used to form a ‘Carers Break’ pot. Carers are often unable to come to some of the events, training or well-being days. This will finance a care agency to sit with the cared for so that the carer can have valuable time out in what can be a lonely time.
If you are able to donate a prize please email Julie Tunstall or call 0161 495 4700
The organisers and main sponsors are Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, and headline sponsors are Gorvins Solicitors and Orbit Developments
