Stockport Business Award charity prizes and holiday needed!

Stockport Business Awards are on the look out for raffle prizes, including a holiday, to support this year’s chosen charity.

This year the chosen charity for the awards ceremony is ‘Signpost’ Stockport for Carers, a wonderful local charity purely supporting the borough of Stockport.

To try to raise approx £6000 we need help in the form of prizes…lots of them! Gift vouchers, iPads, hampers, champagne, experiences, meal vouchers, electrical items, memorabilia etc, would all be gratefully accepted.

The award organisers also really need to get a holiday, this will up the funds raised on the night massively. Please call to discuss further but a sponsorship package can be offered if you can help. 

Signpost supports anyone over the age of 6 years old, who is providing unpaid care for a relative, partner or neighbour. This may be a parent with dementia, an adult child with Down’s syndrome, a partner with motor neurone disease or a sibling with autism. Based in Heaton Moor they cover the whole of the borough of Stockport. 

The money raised on the night will be used to form a ‘Carers Break’ pot. Carers are often unable to come to some of the events, training or well-being days. This will finance a care agency to sit with the cared for so that the carer can have valuable time out in what can be a lonely time.
