
Simon Charles Auctioneers and Valuers have announced their intentions to open a third site in Stockport once social distancing restrictions are lifted.
The Stockport auctioneers is one of the North West’s biggest auction centres, selling on average 12,000 items a week through online and live auctions from Welkin Mill, Bredbury and premises on Newbridge Lane, Stockport.
Due to social distancing restrictions, the auctioneers is currently not operating in order to protect its staff and customers
The auctioneers intends to remain in the town, which it describes as “a thriving business area with a fantastic local workforce to support it,” and their third site will be at Latham Close on Bredbury Park Industrial Estate.
In a statement, the Stockport auctioneers said:
Once the current lockdown period comes to an end the safety of both our staff and customers is our utmost priority. We are determined to ‘Get back to Business’ stronger than ever and rise to the challenge these unprecedented times throw at us.”
The auctioneers were also involved in last year’s auction of the frogs from Stockport town centre’s Giant Leap art trail. The auction, held at LSH Auto’s Mercedes dealership in Stockport raised over £30,000 for Stepping Hill Hospital’s Treehouse Children’s Unit.
