Stockport and Trafford have been identified as the best location for business across Greater Manchester.
The Santander UK Town and City Business Index is an assessment of business competitiveness in the UK and research highlighted Stockport and Trafford as the top areas of Greater Manchester to be in business. The report looked at five main areas or domains including Enterprise, Talent, Connectivity, Costs and Well-being with Stockport coming 10th in the table for Talent and rating overall joint 14th position with Trafford in the national league table of 74 towns and cities across the UK.
Bringing up the rear for the region was Salford in 30th position, Manchester in 36th followed by Rochdale, Tameside and Oldham in the bottom 10.
