Tonight, a team from a Stockport based Accountants are joining in the Manchester Midnight Walk.
Six members of Stockport based accountants Bennett Verby are about to join hundreds of people at the starting line of the Manchester Midnight Walk.
The Bennett Verby walkers are stepping out to raise funds, awareness and support for Stockport charity, St Ann’s Hospice.
St Ann’s Hospice’s flagship fundraiser, the Manchester Midnight Walk, sees thousands of people take on the 10km moonlit stroll in aid of the local charity. Entertainment starts at 9pm at Manchester Central.
Manchester Central is open from 9pm, where you can enjoy the evening’s entertainment including a special guest performance from X Factor star, Lucy Spraggan. You can also decorate your official t-shirt, and collect your goodie bag full of freebies and supplies to help you on your way. As you cross the finish line you can collect your medal to celebrate your achievement!
The 10km route starts at midnight from Manchester Central and takes in some of Manchester’s most famous landmarks including the Hilton Hotel, Old Granada Studios, Spinningfields, MEN Arena, the Northern Quarter and past the Universities.
St Ann’s Hospice is a charity supporting patients from right across Greater Manchester from their three sites in Heald Green, Little Hulton and the Neil Cliffe Centre in Wythenshawe Hospital.
St Ann’s also have dedicated teams of community and Hospice@Home professionals caring for people in the place they call home.
Support means different things to different people. Some people come need care at the end of their life, some for help in managing pain or to access complementary therapies.
Only a third of St Ann’s funding comes from the NHS so, as a charity, they need to raise £16,000 every day to keep our doors open.

We would like to wish the team all the best in the Manchester Midnight Walk.
