Stanley Green Trading Estate in Cheadle Hulme has been sold, to investors, Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust.
The global firm have reportedly acquired the site for £17.25 million, along with an adjoining development site. Altrincham-based Realty Estates had instructed Avison Young to sell the site in November.
Stanley Green Trading Estate comprises 14 units, totalling 150,000 sq ft with occupiers including Screwfix, Toolstation and Topps Tiles. The nine acre site also includes historic planning consent for an addition 48,000 sq ft of warehouse and trade counter space.
The development is fully let and current occupiers are unlikely to be affected by the purchase, given Schroders strategy of acquiring and investing in income-generating assets.
Stanley Green Trading Estate is allocated as a site for industrial development in local plans and it is expected that its new owners will invest in improved planning consent to expand the site further next year.
