Founders, organisers, and main sponsor CN Chartered Accountants, announced St Ann’s Hospice as this year’s Charity Partner at the official launch of the 2025 Stockport Business Awards.
The launch event took place at Edgeley Park on 27th March, ahead of entries opening on 31st March. Founder of the awards, Andrew Baggot, from CN, presented updates on what to expect this year. Guests also had the opportunity to network with Stockport’s business community.
This year’s sponsors were also announced, with continued support from headline sponsors Gorvins Solicitors and a new headline sponsor for 2025: Essential Personnel. Platform81 was announced as Category sponsors and design partner. Plus, the event also announced returning support from previous category sponsors: Marketing Stockport, Stockport Council, Stockport College, CN Financial Planning, CN Strategic Advisors, Sage and Edgeley Park.
The last announcement of the evening was this year’s Charity Partner, St Ann’s Hospice, which will be the recipient of funds raised on the night from donations, ticket sales and a charity raffle. Capital Partnership Fundraiser at the charity, Liz Greenwood commented:
“We are so proud that St Ann’s Hospice has been named at the Charity Partner for this year’s awards. St Ann’s has been part of the Stockport community for more than 50 years and has cared for thousands of people from the area impacted by life limiting illnesses. It is really special for us that the Stockport business community are coming together to raise money for our new hospice.
“The new hospice at Heald Green is under construction now and will be an incredible new purpose-built hospice. All of the money raised at the Stockport Business Awards will go towards making this hospice a reality and get us another step closer to opening the doors later this year. This building will ensure we can care for people in our community for generations to come.”
CN Group Marketing Manager, Louise Lamaris, added:
“It’s great to kick of the launch of the 2025 Stockport Business Awards. We were delighted to meet many new faces – as well as familiar faces at the launch evening.
