Sponsored Swimathon – Saturday 27th July

A Sponsored Swimathon is taking place at Stockport Grammar School on Saturday 27th July to raise funds for local charity, Walthew House.

The clock will start on the hour then it’s over to you and your team to complete as many 25m lengths as you can in 55 minutes!

Enter in teams of up 6 or as an individual. There are no hard or fast rules on how a team should organise itself – some may prefer to swim a length in turn, whilst others might want to split the time amongst themselves. All we ask is that weaker swimmers do not exceed their limits and please also let us know if you have any health problems that may put you at risk whilst swimming, such as epilepsy, diabetes or heart conditions.

      There will be other teams swimming
       independently of each other but they
       will not be competing against each
       other, nor will individual swimmers.

       All teams will have the same goal
       …………….. to swim as many
       lengths as they can and raise as
       much money as possible for
       WALTHEW HOUSE!

NB. It may interest you to know that the average adult completes a length in 35-40 seconds!
