Souter PR has been shortlisted for an award at the 2013 CIPR North West PRide Awards, announced today. The Stockport agency has been nominated in the Best Healthcare Campaign category.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the CIPR PRide awards that will take place on November 13th at The Point at Lancashire CCC.
The nomination recognises the agency’s first ever national lobbying campaign for leading specialist dental litigation firm Dental Law Partnership.
Called Bridge the Gap it raised awareness of the fact that dentists do not have to be insured by law to practice and called for change www.btgcampaign.co.uk
“It has been an amazing journey and taken us to the top
tier of UK dental healthcare policy making,”
said MD Sue Souter.
Website, social media, news items, patient case
studies, presentations to government, letters to MPs,
several consultation contributions to the Department of
Health, plus a recent Channel 5 Cowboy Traders
expose has kept the heat on over 18 months and the
law is expected to change in October this year.
Sue added:
“Obviously there were lots of other stakeholders looking
to change this situation, but our campaign became the
national ‘patients’ voice and got considerable attention.
It allowed our client to champion the issue and
reaffirmed their market leading position. It also put right
a serious little known wrong, which has been very
satisfying to be involved in.”
