Souter PR has launched year five of accident management specialist EasiDrive’s community giving fund www.wheelsforgood.com.
The scheme has £50,000 to give away this year in support of worthy, wheels-related charities across the UK.
Designed to support EasiDrive’s network of depots and Manchester-based HQ, Souters is tasked to drive awareness among causes relating to the theme and work with them to promote the donation once agreed.
Stevenage Shopmobility has been the most recent beneficiary with £1000 donated towards new equipment.

The charity helps people with mobility problems to get around more easily by providing subsidised hire of wheelchairs and powered scooters.
Gerald Dunston, from Stevenage Shopmobility, said:
“Our customers come to us with a range of mobility problems resulting from accident, illness or age and feedback tells us our equipment is a godsend for helping them maintain their independence.
“This donation will help us to continue providing our service and making a difference to the lives of our customers.”
The scheme has helped many others since set up in 2009 including funding an international wheelchair ballroom competition in Manchester, supporting a Sale-based Powerchair football club, providing bikes for a BMX club in Stockwell, South London and helping a number of charities keep their community vehicles on the road.
EasiDrive Director Simon Bellamy explained:
“Donation requests can be for as little as a hundred pounds, right through to a few thousand, as long as the money goes towards a wheel-related charity that will make a difference.”
If you know of anyone who runs a wheels-based charity who is in need of some extra cash simply complete the application form online www.wheelsforgood.com/apply/
Sue Souter, Director at Souters, said:
“This a scheme unique to EasiDrive which does great work and underpins what the firm is all about. Coverage generated helps build profile for beneficiaries as well as the scheme itself in their local communities.”
