Smart Works help unemployed women get a job and become financially independent. With extensive knowledge of the problems that these women face, Smartworks provides interview clothing, styling advice and one to one interview training, enabling them to feel more confident and start believing in their own ability to succeed. On average, one in two of our clients gets the job.
Laura Dalby is Office Manager at Smartworks in Stockport.
“We recruit trained volunteers to work with our clients, helping them to make them look great and feel confident for their job interview. We rely on financial contributions, volunteer time and clothing donations from committed individuals and organisations to enable us to carry on with our work”
“Smart Works Greater Manchester based in Stockport, is the first site in England outside of London, so this is really exciting news for our local area”
As we prepare for our launch, we are lolling for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to assist with dressing/styling, interview coaching, and stockroom. We are also looking to build relationships with corporate organizations who would like to become involved.
If you would like to support Smart Works Greater Manchester as a volunteer or corporate organization, or if you have some clothing you would like to donate, then please do get in touch with Smartworks.
