Yorkshire Bank has appointed Simon Wright to head up Business & Private Banking in its Central Region. Simon, who has an impressive 23 years service with the bank, takes over with immediate effect from Alan Young, who is retiring.
Simon, 44, joined Yorkshire Bank in 1992 as a Graduate Trainee, since when he has held a number of roles including Regional Director, Strategy and Support Services and Programme Director, Business Banking Transformation and most recently was Head of Customer Banking Operations.
Simon’s remit will cover all Business and Private Banking customers across the Central Region which extends from Northumberland down Chesterfield; the Bank’s core heartland base. Simon will be working across the whole region but will base himself in York and Leeds.
Having worked for the Group for over 40 years, including a period in New Zealand, Alan Young, has decided to retire and will leave the Bank in November. He will now work alongside Simon to ensure a smooth transition.
