Stockport headquartered environmental consultancy, APEM Group, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Alistair Davison.
Davison joins the group as Managing Director of APEM’s Marine and Consents Division, where he will be responsible for the continued growth of the 140-strong business unit. He brings to the group over 20 years experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultancy along with consent and technical engineering services to the global offshore wind, onshore wind, marine energy, and ports and harbours sectors.
Immediately before joining APEM, he was EIA consultant at HaskoningDHV on several notable offshore windfarm projects including Flotation Energy’s Morecambe Bay project, Orsted’s Hornsea Four, and Vattenfall’s Vanguard and Boreas projects.
On joining APEM, Alistair Davison said:

The company has established itself as a major player in the global market and gained an enviable reputation for the quality of services it provides. APEM has some truly exciting projects in the pipeline, and I can’t wait to get stuck into them with my new colleagues across the globe.”
Leah McGimpsey, CSO of APEM Group, said:
“APEM offers an unparalleled range of specialist services and technical capabilities. Alistair’s appointment along with Alex Campbell and Darroch Baker is all part of our strategic plan that will see us continue to grow across UK&I and globally.”
Dr Adrian Williams, CEO of APEM Group, added:
“Environmental consultancy remains one of the most buoyant and rewarding sectors. We have experienced unprecedented growth over the past 12 months, both organically and through our acquisitions of AQUAFACT and GoBe which have been very successful, commercially and culturally.
“Key to our continued growth is ensuring we attract and retain the best people in their field, which is why we are delighted to welcome Alistair. He has an excellent reputation and brings knowledge, experience and expertise that is very much in demand.”
