Sector3, the organisation supporting Stockport’s voluntary, charity and social enterprise sector, is calling for applications to join its board of trustees.
Sector3’s aim is to bring together Stockport’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sectors by creating a culture that celebrates, connects and informs and is looking for five trustees to join its board in order to support its work. Trustees will work as part of a team, providing leadership, strategic direction and collective responsibility for robust governance to ensure the charity is running effectively and efficiently and delivers benefit and value. All Trustees are volunteers and the positions are unremunerated.
All members of the board will:
- Commit to the aims, principles and direction of Sector 3
- Live or work in the Borough of Stockport
- Have a demonstrable understanding of the third sector and commitment to its development
- Not represent individuals, organisations, specific client groups, or self-interests on the board
- Not be employed by a ‘statutory organisation’ or other agency which could create a conflict of interest
The organisation is also hoping to attract board members with experience of marketing communications or fundraising, however previous board experience is not essential.
Further information and details on applying to join Sector3’s board of trustees can be found on their website.
