SCHOOL COOK SHORTLISTED FOR NATIONAL AWARD

A school cook employed by Solutions SK, a Stockport Council wholly owned company has been shortlisted for a national award.

Emma Atkinson the head cook at Lark Hill Primary School in Edgeley has been chosen to go through to the next stage of the Local Authorities Caterers Association (LACA) School Cook of the Year Competition.

    Emma’s top dish of Greek Style Meatballs in Tomato Sauce
    served with Fresh Pasta and Spring Onion Flat Bread followed
    by Sweet Potato Tart and Honey Drizzle was praised by the
    judges.

    Emma will now have to produce her meal at the North West
    Regional Final in early 2013.
