Stockport law firm SAS Daniels LLP has launched a new business service aimed at meeting the needs of start-up businesses and SMEs in the region.
The launch follows an increase in demand from businesses looking for easy access to advice across a full range of issues affecting smaller companies and organisations, including matters such as succession planning, commercial contracts, real estate and dispute resolution.
The new service is being headed-up by Jean Walker, the firm’s SME Business Services Partner who specialises in working with smaller, owner-managed and family-run businesses.
It will allow companies to access the expertise of the firm’s corporate, real estate, litigation and employment teams through one point of contact, as well as providing access to the local connections and knowledge of the teams in each of the firm’s four offices in Stockport, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton.
Formerly the managing partner at TWP Solicitors before it merged with SAS Daniels, Jean Walker has a wealth of experience in matters affecting smaller businesses including the purchase and sale of businesses, shareholder and partnership agreements, and commercial property.
Commenting on the launch of the new service, Jean Walker said: “It’s no surprise that start-ups and small businesses tend to have different needs to the larger organisations in the region, but there is very little catered directly to their needs.
“We have seen a real increase in demand for a service which gives business owners access to high quality advice, in a way that identifies and resolves potential issues across a business, and helps plan for the future goals.”
The launch is expected to drive growth for the firm in the areas surrounding its four offices and is part of the firm’s overall growth strategy which has put it on track to post more than £6.5 million turnover in the year to April 2013 – more than a 10% increase on the £5.9 million turnover posted in April 2012.
