The Together Trust has been chosen as Sainsburys in Hazel Grove’s charity partner until 2019.
The store’s staff will be helping to raise funds for the charity, based in Cheadle, to support their services which include two specialist schools, a specialist college and residential care homes.
After being shortlisted by Mark Dowse, Deputy Store Manager, and winning a public vote, the Together Trust was confirmed as the store’s charity partner. The partnership was launched with a £500 donation from Lynx Forecourt Ltd, the contractors responsible for the petrol station development at the store.
The organisations will aim not only to raise funds, but also awareness of the charity’s work within the local community and across the North West region. The store also hopes to offer work experience or workplace visits to some of the young people supported by the charity.
Julie Williams, fundraiser at the Together Trust said:
We’re excited to be partnering with Sainsbury’s Hazel Grove over the next two years to help raise vital funds and local awareness of the issues facing the people we support.
“We have a number of services based in Hazel Grove and the surrounding areas that will benefit from the support of the store and its staff.
“It’s always fantastic to see local businesses getting involved and supporting services that are vital for individuals and families in the local community.”

We’re over the moon to be supporting the Together Trust.
“We’ve got bag packs and in-store collections coming up and customers can find donation boxes in store. We’re grateful for every contribution to this wonderful cause.”
