Struggling for ideas of how to keep the kids occupied this October half term? Well look no further than Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park.
On Wednesday 23 October the park will be running its Midweek Madness offer with a short Concorde tour available for £5pp plus all day car parking for just £2 when booked online. The Concorde short tour will give you the opportunity to sit in the luxurious leather seats where royalty and celebrities once sat whilst hearing about what it was like to fly on this iconic aircraft.
Back by popular demand, the park’s Flight Academy for ages 4-12 will be running throughout half term. The academy gives kids the chance to climb onboard a real aircraft and sit in the cockpit as they learn more about aviation and flying a plane. They’ll also get the chance to try their hand at being a pilot, cabin crew or air traffic controller in a role play session exploring the many careers at the airport.
Flight academy dates available include: Monday 21 October, Wednesday 23 October, Friday 25 October, Sunday 27 October, Monday 28 October and Wednesday 30 October.
The Runway Visitor Park is a unique visitor centre overlooking Manchester Airport’s two runways. From its elevated viewing spot, the park enables aviation enthusiasts to watch the take off and landings of the hundreds of daily flights at the airport.
