Royal Bank of Scotland support hotel acquisition

Stockport’s Royal Bank of Scotland Business team have supported the acquisition of the Windy Harbour Farm Hotel by its former manager with a six figure funding deal. 

The hotel’s former manager Lee Johnson has acquired the six bedroom hotel and restaurant, which will be run alongside members of his family.

The new owner intends to continue to run the business to the high standards it already maintains and will also focus on developing its restaurant trade, promoting the venue amongst visitors and local residents to enjoy on a regular basis.

Royal Bank of Scotland has supported the acquisition with a six figure funding deal.

Lee Johnson, Owner of Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, said: “I am thrilled that I have finally achieved my dream and have been able to acquire my first hotel.  I have worked at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel for ten years and I know the business inside out so it seemed natural for me to acquire it from the previous owners.

“The hotel is very popular and we have a great deal of demand for our accommodation. My initial focus will be to drive the restaurant side of the business, encouraging more diners through our doors on a daily basis.  The restaurant itself has amazing views over the Peak District countryside and is already a popular destination venue for functions and events but I want to encourage more regular dining trade.
