Members of Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Club are taking up the challenge of a ‘Blind Tenpin Bowling’ match against Walthew House’s two visually impaired teams next week.

The Rotary club, who have also been fundraising and volunteering for Walthew House, will be donning blindfolds and spectacles simulating visual impairment to play against, the former National Blind League champions. There is more than just pride at stake, with the ‘Blind Tenpin Cup’ up for grabs. The match marks the start of a regular annual tournament for Walthew House who will be looking for corporate teams of three to enter next year’s event. The game will be held at Parrs Wood bowling alley next Wednesday 20th March.
David Le Poidevin, a trustee at Walthew House and member of the bowling team said:

Walthew House at Shaw Heath in Stockport supports people in Stockport who are visually impaired or deaf.
