Robinsons Brewery has launched its fundraising campaign ‘Donate with Dizzy’ which will see 5p from every pint of Dizzy Blonde sold during July and August go to charity.
All of Robinsons’ 300-strong pub estate, their free trade customers and national accounts are invited to take part in the campaign.
Robinsons have officially partnered with the RSPCA and Mountain Rescue England and Wales, although the ‘Donate with Dizzy’ campaign is open to any charity of the pub’s choice.
Gill Yates, Robinsons brands manager, said: “Dizzy has been a leading lady at the brewery since her first stint as a seasonal ale back in May 2007, she quickly progressed to our core range, and now she is our fastest-growing cask beer.
“Not only is Dizzy the perfect summer pour, she is also highly adaptable and the pump clip design lends itself well to this sort of campaign.
“We have created a special website called www.pimpmypumpclip.com which allows pubs to sign up for the activity, select a charity of their choice, and then customise – or ‘pimp’ – the pump clip to reflect their chosen charity.
“The personalised pump clip is then sent to the pub, together with supporting posters, and at the end of August the pub confirms how many pints of Dizzy they have sold.”
There are seven pump clips to choose from – Mountain Rescue England and Wales, the RSPCA, a generic military, water rescue, medical, or research pump clip, and a plain Dizzy pump clip where pubs can add the name of their chosen charity to the front.
Robinsons have also pledged to double the donation from the pub that raises the most money for charity.
