Dizzy donates – a fundraising campaign launched by Stockport based Robinsons in 2016 to benefit countless charities – has to date raised £29,050.
The 181-year-old family brewery pledges 5p from every pint of Dizzy Blonde sold during summer to charity.
Dizzy Donates, which is open to any charity of the pub’s choice, raised £9,713 for 84 nominated charities this year after a record number of 216 pubs and customers took part. £1,325 of this amount was raised in support of Help for Heroes – Robinsons official charity partner.
Gill Yates, Robinsons Brand Manager, said:
“We’re delighted that Dizzy Donates continues to be such a success. It’s solely down to the pubs that take part and the customers who drink Dizzy Blonde. 5p might not seem like a lot, but all the pints add up and help to make a great difference – almost 200,000 pints of Dizzy were sold in 2019’s campaign. 100% of the funds raised are donated to the charities involved; all of whose work is truly outstanding. This initiative has given new meaning to ‘responsible drinking’. Thank you for choosing to drink Dizzy Blonde and supporting such a worthwhile cause.”
Dizzy Blonde, selling over 1.9 million pints per year, is Robinsons second best-selling cask ale in their tenanted and managed estate and is up 6% YOY following the rebrand of Dizzy Blonde in April 2019.
