A new brew is stepping out onto the scene as Stockport brewer Robinsons pairs up with CAMRA to announce ‘Socks & Sandals’.
On May 29th, 179-year-old Stockport-based brewer, Robinsons Brewery, is releasing Socks & Sandals – A 5.3% ABV Blonde Rye I.P.A – in partnership with Campaign for Real Ale, otherwise known as CAMRA.
A brand new White Label beer has been conjured up between the Stockport brewer and CAMRA. The fruity hop bomb of a beer created in the true American I.P.A style will definitely be one to delight the taste buds, with radiant essences of passionfruit, peach and grapefruit entwined throughout the golden liquid.
John Clarke, Chairman of Stockport and South Manchester Branch of CAMRA, said:
“When we heard that Robinsons were starting the White Label series and inviting licensees and others to get involved, we always thought it was something we’d want to be involved with, especially as Robinsons is our local family brewer. The chance to be able to input ideas into the design of a beer and then see it on the bars of local pubs is not an opportunity you get very often, so it was one we definitely had to take.”
John continued:
“We had spoken about this for well over a year, and now we’re delighted it’s come to fruition. We can’t wait to try it when it’s released and of course it will be on sale at next week’s Stockport Beer & Cider Festival.”
Socks & Sandals is a 5.3% Blonde Rye I.P.A, and will be available to indulge in at the Stockport Beer and Cider Festival, taking place on the 1st-3rd June. The innovative new brew will also be offered in draught to Robinsons’ pubs and customers from the 29th May 2017.
