Stockport Council have issued the latest news with regards to planned roadworks in and around the Stockport area for the next few days.
Cheadle – Sunday 17th November:
Contractors working on behalf of Network Rail will undertaking an examination of the railway bridge on Manchester Road in Cheadle close to the junction with Stockport Road and the High Street. These works require the use of two-way signals and will take place between 7.30am and 2.00pm
Stockport A6 – Monday 18th November – 5 weeks:
Stockport Council will be carrying out resurfacing work on the footways on Alderdale Drive, between A6 Buxton
Road and Hartington Road. Work is due to start on Monday 18th November and should take up to five weeks to complete. Access to properties will be maintained where possible but may be restricted for certain periods as the work progresses. Property owners who are directly affected will receive a letter outlining the scope of the work and timescales involved.
Mellor – Monday 18th November – 4 weeks:
Improvement works on the drainage system on Mill Brow in Mellor is due to start on Monday 18th November and is expected to last for up to four weeks. To carry out the work safely it will be necessary to close the road for the duration of the work and a signed diversion will be in operation which will be via Ley Lane/Glossop Road/Sandhill Lane/Gun Road/Chatterton Lane/Hollywood Road.
