The event, titled “Northern Freight and Logistics: Decarbonisation and Innovation” is free to attend and will be hosted via Zoom on Monday 8 March at 2pm.
TfN’s Lucy Hudson said:
Since our living rooms and doorsteps have become the new shop fronts, with parcels and food deliveries increasing over the last year – how efficient these deliveries are and reliable in their delivery time has definitely become more visible to us all.
“This is basic logistics and something the industry has been working on for years. We can just see it more now.
“Making sure we now have the right networks to meet our needs and support economic recovery from the pandemic is crucial.
“We must take action now to drive forward the decarbonisation of our freight industry and wider transport network, and Transport for the North is setting out our policies and plans through our upcoming Freight and Decarbonisation Strategies.”
Attendees can register and submit any questions they have for the panel in advance via EventBrite.
