Thousands of visitors have flocked to Redrock Stockport since it opened last month, with the popularity of the area growing daily, as reported by Stockport Council.
‘Brilliant’, ‘fantastic addition to Stockport town centre’, ‘my favourite cinema experience by far’ and ‘big thumbs up from me’ are just some of the rave reviews that have been received with visitors loving the new public square; the huge reclining seats at The Light Cinema; free parking offers and the great food available at Zizzi and PizzaExpress.
As Redrock swings into life, The Gym Group and Loungers have both announced they will be opening their doors at Redrock Stockport in the New Year.
Facing onto the new public square at Redrock, Loungers will open their newest Berretto Lounge bar and restaurant on the 24th January and hope that visitors will feel right at home. Serving everything from fresh, zingy salads to massive burgers with all the trimmings, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Next door, The Gym Group, who let you sign up with no contract, will be opening in a double unit under the new Redrock car park. With a 24/7 gym and classes costing very little, plus the benefit of 2 hours free parking when you go to the gym, they will give anyone looking to get fit and do more exercise the perfect place to head to.
Parking at Redrock couldn’t be easier. Visitors can now access the new 360 space multi-storey car park directly from the A6, and this links to the neighbouring Merseyway car park.
Free parking is available for anyone coming to Redrock to watch a film at The Light by validating your ticket, as well as for all other visitors after 6pm every day.
Commented Councillor Kate Butler, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council:
“Redrock’s huge popularity so far is clear and that is set to soar in the New Year with the arrival of The Gym Group and Berretto Lounge.
“The amount of positive feedback from visitors is incredible and I’m confident that will continue as Redrock plays its part in revitalising our town centre.
“There’s still much to do though with improvements to Merseyway being planned and a continued focus on reinvigorating our historic core around the Market Place and Underbanks.”
