The Royal Bank of Scotland’s mentoring team are offering businesses the opportunity to have an energy audit and receive expert guidance in an attempt to help businesses to reduce their energy spend.

Businesses spending £10,000 a year or more on energy who are looking to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint can benefit from an RBS Mentor Energy Audit – designed to be a useful tool for people who want to review their business’s energy use, as it identifies ways to reduce your energy consumption, energy costs and carbon emissions.

The RBS Energy Audit typically focuses on three areas:

Energy efficiency – reviewing lighting, heating, cooling, refrigeration, building fabric, plant and equipment;

Tariff management – examining tariff type, price and fuel switching opportunities;

Renewable energy – identifying ways to potentially create your own energy through solar, wind and biomass, for example.

RBS Auditors are independent experts who have been trained in Energy Management by the Energy Institute. Following an Energy Audit, the Auditor will provide a detailed report of their findings and offer further guidance on what next steps should be.
