The Authentic Food Company has strengthened its financial relationship with its bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, in a refinancing deal to support future growth.
The Stockport based retail, pub and hotel catering supplier was set up in 1985 by Kamal Basran and has developed into one of the UK’s largest suppliers in the highly competitive food services sector, now being led by 2nd generation Nik who has overseen UK profits soar and turnover increase from £23m to £40m.
New products have been added to the range and a £4m investment over the past 3 years has helped secure additional income as exports to EU countries continue to grow.
Managing director Nik Basran stated:
“Our success is down to our strong values, a commitment to our clients and a focus on high quality ingredients and products.
“As we enter a new growth phase the bank has been able to provide a wider range of services to help us realise our growth aspirations.”
