
STAR Procurement, the shared procurement service for Stockport, Trafford, Rochdale and Tameside Councils, are working with Partners to deliver a joint ‘Meet the Buyer’ event online in November 2020 for the first time.
The event will take place during World Procurement Week (2nd – 6th November). Due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic the local government procurement service have decided to take a different approach for this year’s event with all workshops and presentations being delivered virtually via the free web-conferencing software Zoom. Attendees will need to book a place online for Meet the Buyer webinars via Eventbrite, and will be sent details of how to access each event.
During the week, businesses from across the Greater Manchester economy will be given the chance to find out about upcoming opportunities. Attendees can also take advantage of workshops delivered by STAR and Partners, which will concentrate on aspects of the tendering process that are relevant to the public sector contracts.
All events taking place are free to attend, and a full listing of the online workshops, presentations and seminars taking place is available on the STAR Procurement website.
