Car retailer, Stratstone, has opened its new Porsche dealership on Marsland Street, Stockport, with the centre bringing the luxury marque to the town for the first time.
The purpose built facility, comprises a two-storey showroom for 30 cars, and space for an expansive collection of Porsche Approved Pre-Owned models. An exclusive specification lounge will also showcase the range of genuine Tequipment accessories.
After-care services at the new Porsche centre also include a 13- ramp service and repair workshop, and two direct dialogue bays offering on-the-spot diagnosis in conjunction with customers prior to any work being carried out by the dealership’s fully-trained technicians and service advisors.
The new centre is situated adjacent to the M60 motorway, on Marsland Street in Stockport town centre. The dealership is owned and operated by Stratstone, who also operate Porsche centres in Wilmslow and Bolton, and is part of Pendragon Group.
Despite the group recently announcing over 1800 job losses, Pendragon chief executive Bill Berman expressed his confidence in the market for luxury car marques in comments made to trade publication, Automotive Management. Speaking on the opening of the Stockport Porsche Centre, Berman said:
We are delighted to announce the opening of our newest Porsche Centre in Stockport. This is a significant investment for the local area and for our business at such an important time in the UK automotive industry.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming customers to the new Centre and exploring the state-of-the-art facilities on offer.”
