Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Not quite, it’s the Platform81 team taking to the skies for their charity of the year Kidscan!
When asked, ‘do you have what it takes to freefall 5000ft at 120mph?’ the Platform81 couldn’t resist the skydive challenge.
Platform81’s Nick Wroe explains:
“As part of our ongoing #10for10 campaign, we wanted to join with Kidscan to beat children’s cancer by taking on a challenge that really pushed us to our limits. So what better way than flying to 10,000ft and then free-falling back to Earth!?!”
On the 8th July five of the team, Amanda, Luke, James, David and Nick will be partnered with an experienced professional at Lancaster Black Knights Parachute centre. After a day of training they will then have the pleasure of being harnessed to an experienced tandem parachute instructor before taking the jump to raise the vital funds needed to find new treatments.
We would really appreciate it if you could help us on our mission to raise £10,000 for Kidscan in our 10thyear, so if you would like to sponsor the team as we plummet to earth from a two-mile height AND support an amazing cause, you can do so by following the link here.
