Peak Translations MD, Helen Provart, has been officially welcomed as a member of the Assembly of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
The Assembly is responsible for guiding the Chamber’s policy and strategy decisions and creating a voice for its members.
During a Business Women’s Network meeting, regularly attended by Peak Translations MD, members were invited to apply to join the Assembly.
“It seemed like a great opportunity to get involved in issues directly affecting small businesses within the region,” commented Helen Provart.
Having decided to apply, she was then delighted to hear that her application had been successful.
“I’m really looking forward to getting involved and to supporting the Chamber and its members”, she explained. “I feel I have a wide range of skills and knowledge to bring to the Assembly, which I outlined in the application.”
Helen has almost 15 years experience in the language industry, with a further 5 years in other industries. She has strong management and leadership skills, which she further enhanced through the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses course she completed in 2015.
“I have already attended a couple of events relating to my role on the Assembly and can see the importance of the work done by the Chamber in supporting the region and influencing decisions on connectivity, transport links and bridging the skills gap in order to enable companies within the region to grow and prosper” Helen added.
