A significant milestone was reached for Stockport creative Aqua Design Group, the business runs weekly competitions on Twitter called #QueenOf days and #KingOf day which has now reached over a 1,000 winners. Supporting fellow small business through retweets, shout outs and promotion though their significant Twitter following of over 50,000 followers across their various Twitter accounts.
The competitions were inspired by the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 and also to due to Aqua Design Group winning Theo Paphitis #SBS (Small Business Sunday) and Jacqueline Gold #MOM (Men on Monday) which played a part in their substantial Twitter following.
Dylan Moore, owner of Aqua Design Group commented: “I look back over the last 6 years from when the #QueenOf day competition started when it was only giving out badged and supporting winners through retweets and can’t believe the positive impact it’s had on winners.”
Aqua Design Group don’t restrict their #QueenOf and #KingOf winner support to Twitter as they have also set-up winner only groups on LinkedIn and Facebook, a winners directory website and a monthly newsletter which goes out to all the winners registered on the directory website. They also have big plans for the network and want to start holding an annual winners meet-up event, which they want to hold in Manchester and are actively seeking sponsors to accomplish this goal.
Leeds based #QueenOf winner Abundance Foods commented: “Founders Dylan and Andy of the @AquaDesignGroup have clearly worked hard to create an amazing network, The Royal Connection, that not only recognises great small businesses and their owners, but actively encourages and supports them too.”
