‘OUR ZOO’ COMES TO STOCKPORT FOR A STARRING ROLE

A brand new drama TV series has chosen Stockport’s Town Hall to star as one of the local venues fearured as part of the backdrop! 

The BBC period drama ‘Our Zoo’ tells the true story of the man who created Chester Zoo in the 1930s and the impact it had on his family.  The series is due to start to be broadcast at 9.00pm on Wednesday’s from 3^rd September.

Councillor Patrick McAuley, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said

“We are delighted that they chose Stockport’s historic Town Hall to feature as a prominent backdrop for an array of the scenes for this brand new period drama.

“Stockport’s popularity as a prominent period drama location is giving the UK a real flavour of the historic significance of our great town.
