The walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinic at the One Stockport Hub on Mersey Square in the town centre will continue to offer the jab throughout May.
The clinic will offer Spring Booster vaccine doses to anyone aged 75 or over, or with a weakened immune system, provided it has been six months since their first booster dose.
The One Stockport Hub clinic will operate altered opening hours during May, with first, second and booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccination available. The clinic will be open every Wednesday and Thursday, 9.30am to 5.00pm, and Saturdays, 9.30am to 3.30pm, for anyone 12+ and eligible to walk in and get vaccinated.
Children aged 5-11 are invited to come along on Saturdays only, when specially trained staff will be on hand in a dedicated children’s area of the Hub.
This latest offer is in addition to the vaccination clinic at Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Bramhall, SK3 8TP, where anyone 12+ and eligible can walk-in without an appointment and get vaccinated on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, 9am to 6pm, and Sunday from 9am to 3pm. There’s a special clinic for 5 to 11-year-olds at this site too, open from 3pm to 6pm every Sunday. Appointments must be booked for 5-11s at this clinic on the National Booking Service, or by calling 119 free of charge. Please note that Trinity Methodist Church will be closed for vaccinations on Sunday, 1st May.
The full range of vaccination options in Stockport, including opening hours, who is eligible, and how to get the booster vaccine can be found on the CCG website. The latest news and updates are also announced on the CCG’s Facebook or Twitter pages, just follow @NHSStockportCCG.
Local pharmacies across Stockport are also offering Covid-19 vaccinations, bookable via the NHS website.
Phillip Winrow, Vice Chair at NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said:
“I encourage anyone who is eligible to get vaccinated now, especially those who are eligible for their Spring booster as they are the most vulnerable to serious illness or hospitalisation from Covid-19.
“It’s also not too late for those who haven’t had their first, second, or booster jabs to come forward. An experienced and friendly vaccination team will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the vaccine.”
Jennifer Connolly, Stockport’s Director of Public Health, added:
“We’ve extended our One Stockport Hub offer to continue to make it easy for you and your family to get vaccinated. Anyone 5+ can get the first, second, booster, or Spring booster, at a time and location that’s convenient to them.
“Getting vaccinated will help to protect you and the wider the community and, as we start to think about summer holidays, will take some of the stress out travelling abroad this year.”
